Make it stand out
Lle mae’r pŵer yn eistedd?
Where does the power lie?
Rydym wedi bod yn gofyn i bobl ble maen nhw’n meddwl bod y pŵer, mewn perthynas â dŵr croyw yn nyffrynnoedd Conwy. Dyma'r atebion a gawsom hyd yn hyn
We have been asking people where they think the power lies, in relation to freshwater in the Conwy valleys. These are the answers we’ve received so far
Natur // nature
Rainfall has the most power life giving and destructive
Mother Nature- she is everything. The world is her belonging and we're just visitors
Natur // nature
Within the water
weather / nature
gravity / slope
the river
Climate
Land owners
75% of Wales is farmland the power lives with the land owners to heal the river by stopping pollution
land owners
RWE
Landowners: quality of water
Humans (us)
I think that humans have the power to shape rivers
we have the power we are the ones that will change the world
us we're the people who can make the rivers better cleaner and happier
with people our actions and our voices heard
we all have power the power of 1 can escalate up to higher levels if we all get together
Politics
Those who control water: political
Political power
Combination
Hierarchy of control: landowner / Govt. / Agencies / Water Companies / Climate
Landowners (access) - Government (quality) - Quangos (enforce quality) - Water supply companies (quality and quantity) - weather / climate
Statutory bodies (local / national government, Dwr Cymru, NRW) and individual responsibility not to litter, pollute etc.
industry, water companies, government, farmers
government agencies / land owners
nature – power – people
nature but we are impacting nature
impact on climate from human behaviour
To the companies and local government
local government. the people
Dwr Cymru, UK government, mother earth
when there is an overlap between government and local residents will to action or in action
Government Agencies / Landowners
Not sure
who has the power? I don't really know is it down to us or should we have to rely on the ineffective statutory bodies to address any problems
the power always lies with the people… or does it?
this question has really got me thinking I'm really not sure but maybe the river, maybe water companies may be angling clubs maybe farmers maybe land owners maybe
with all the dams and now being made aware of the consequences of this think people seem to think they have the power may the river fight back
Other
Where does the power lie? ultimately God
